On a clear day, should you be in Butuan, look to the west and you will see the flattened top of our Mount Mayapay.

Get on a pumpboat, and go to Bansa. You will see the acacia trees to your left as you go down the river. When you get to Linungsuran, on a clearing, only thirty meters from the edge of the river, the tower with the balete tree still stands. Ask permission when you get there. Ask permission even if you do so only in your mind. On the north side of the base of the tree, there is a small deep excavation. It is covered with a rusty sheet of galvanized iron. Do not lift it open.
