Make a Donation
When you give to BCCF, you're making a wise investment. Not only
does your donation go to worthwhile projects for the poor, but it's
also an investment of the future, helping stifle the restlessness of
the poverty-stricken, so that Butuan may ultimately become a safe
community to raise families.
BCCF has identified specific projects where donations can make a
difference on the lives of rural and urban disadvantaged people.
On-Going Projects (any amount is welcome):
- BCCF/ICF Microenterprise Project - income-generating projects
for the poor like sari-sari store, peddling dried fish, peanut butter
making, etc., will cost $100 each but any amount is also welcome.
- Medicine and Hospitalization - provide medicine and
hospitalization payments for indigents who cannot afford the medical
bills.
- New Neurosurgical Unit in the City Hospital - for instruments,
tools, equipment, and medicine.
- Food purchase and distribution to poor rural & urban
communities.
- Shipment of medicines, medical supplies, books, and used
clothing.
Dream projects which need donations in order to lift-off and be
sustained:
- Health Insurance coverage for indigents - Through the help of
nonprofit organizations, an indigent, including his/her family can now
be covered by health insurance provided by PhilHealth, a government
health insurance corporation. A donor will need only to donate $12.50
per year and this will cover the consultation, hospitalization,
admission, surgery, and medicine of the entire family of an indigent.
- Supplemental feeding of malnourished children - The city
government can only afford to fund the feeding of 20 malnourished
children per barangay for a duration of 3 months per year. The City
Nutrition Office volunteers are willing to donate their time and
effort if the program can be expanded in terms of number of children
and months covered. Donations are needed regardless of amount.
- High school supplemental expense scholarship. - High school
tuition fees are free in public schools. However, school projects,
school supplies, transportation to and from school, school uniforms,
and other extra school expenses are costs which students and their
families cannot afford and causes them to drop out. There are few
donations received but they are not enough to lift the project off.
Donations are needed to meet these needs.
BCCF is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable corporation in the
